Blackboard 9.1 Student Orientation
The Blackboard 9.1 Student Orientation is designed to help you become familiar with the Blackboard tools and the technology necessary to be successful in the online classroom. As you complete the orientation you will be submitting practice assignments and have the opportunity to Test Your Bb 9.1 Knowledge and receive a Certificate of Completion.
All students at Fresno State may self-enroll in the Blackboard 9.1 Student Orientation located in the Hot Spots area in Blackboard.

Are You Using iClickers in Class? Need to Register?
Here is the link to register your iClicker online. Please remember to use your Student ID number on the Student ID line (NOT your Fresno State username) Your Clicker ID can be found on the back of your clicker.
Options and Alternatives to Microsoft Office
Here are some options for common tasks like word processing, spreadsheeting, and presenting.
Students are able to purchase Microsoft Office at a reduced price. This student-only discount requires verification of student status prior to purchase.
A free alternative is Google Apps at Fresno State (http://googleapps.fresnostate.edu/).
Google Apps offers word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations anywhere you are online and have a web browser. It's also easy to share with other users. And, it's free.
Another free alternative (if you are comfortable with installing open source software) is OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org. OpenOffice is multiplatform and runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris.
Open University Students
Blackboard Accounts for Open University Students
Instructors may enroll students at any time providing the student has a Blackboard account. Blackboard accounts are created within 8 hours after the Fresno State email account has been activated. If a prospective student has a CURRENT Fresno State email they already have a Blackboard account. All Open University students will automatically be enrolled in Blackboard courses after they officially register and the registration period has ended for all matriculated students.
Please note: If the prospective Open University student HAS NOT ATTENDED Fresno State for MORE THAN THREE YEARS their Blackboard account will need to be reactivated. Please email tiltsupport@csufresno.edu to make this request and include your Name and student ID number.
